Some unsettling news came from a report by DC’s Water and Sewer Authority, suggesting that thousands of homes in DC should have their water pipes replaced due to unsafe levels of lead. The unsafe pipes are older galvanized steel or galvanized iron pipes, and they can be found in some older homes in Washington, DC. Re-piping a house can be expensive, so at the very least, WASA suggests using a water filter on faucets.
For those people who live in DC or know people who live in DC, we will gladly check anybody’s pipes to see whether they are the right ones to have. If they are the unsafe ones, we will let you know what you can do about it.
