I hope you like your pumpkins frosted. With the first snow of the year potentially coming tomorrow it is officially time to start up that furnace. Here are some things you should look out for so your furnace functions properly.
Sometimes snowfall or snowdrifts can block the intake vent for your furnace, clogging it or causing it to shut off entirely. The same can happen to your exhaust causing dangerous gases to build up inside your home. It is important to know where your intake and exhaust are (sometimes they are on the roof) and make sure they are not blocked or in danger of being blocked. And as always don’t forget to change your filters about once a season or every 3 months.
