Avoid “Fly-by-Night” Contractors!
Nowadays we have to be careful about which individuals we’re inviting into our homes. It’s very unfortunate, but it’s not uncommon to hear about scam artists posing as service contractors to either con you out of your money, or worse, come back to your home uninvited and wreak all kinds unthinkable havoc.
This is why it is imperative that we as consumers do thorough research in order to make an educated decision on which contractor to hire—thus ensuring a guarantee of quality and reputable service. A major factor to consider is to be certain the contractor you hire has a long history of doing business. In many cases, a reputation for quality, reliability and dependability grows with length of service to a community.
The service technicians employed by the contractor you choose should be formally trained by a professional organization. Check for membership in organizations such as Nexstar, and EPA certifications. Also be sure you know that the contractor you choose values hiring individuals with integrity—who can be trusted to come into your home.
We at Sanford Kramer, feel that your safety and security is of the utmost concern and we have thus set a precedent in the home services industry to ensure your safety. In addition to comprehensive training, our technicians are subject to a rigorous background check and drug test. All of our technicians wear a photo id badge and are dressed in our company uniform. It is also important to check the vehicle the technician arrives in to ensure that he/she is indeed with the company you hired. Don’t let someone driving an unmarked vehicle do any work on your home! There’s no telling what results you’ll get!
